We don’t like to come to you asking for money often (and we don’t.) However, today is an exception and I hope you’ll consider helping us accomplish something BIG!
The Washtenaw County Democratic Party in partnership with the Western Washtenaw Democrats and the Ann Arbor Democratic Party is doing something we haven’t done since 2000: We are creating a countywide Voters Guide – 60,000 12-page, tabloid newspaper-style Voters Guides for distribution throughout the county. We will be targeting households with persuadable voters as well as Democrats who don’t always make it to the polls. The Voters Guide will be mailed to over 7,000 households receiving absentee ballots. We will hand deliver the rest through canvassing and voter outreach efforts and any remaining funds will be used to mail them to homes in the most rural areas of the county (households that are considered “unwalkable”.)
This is an ambitious project and we need YOUR FINANCIAL HELP to make it a reality. We anticipate that it will cost close to $20,000 for printing and mailing costs. This is an important element of our get out the vote (GOTV) effort and we’re counting on you to help make it a reality.
