SUMMARY:Rise Up\, Sing Out
DESCRIPTION:The No Kings Coalition (including Indivisible) and the Committee for the First Amendment are co-sponsoring this live-streamed concert event on June 14\, from 7:00-9:00 pm. Performers will include Rufus Wainwright\, Bette Midler\, and Patti Smith!! This event is counter-programming to the grotesque event happening on the South Lawn of the White House. We celebrate our country’s birthday\, not Donald Trump’s! \nThis event will be held at St. Clare’s Episcopal Church\, at 2309 Packard\, Ann Arbor. Doors open at 6:00 pm\, with pre-concert activities like postcard writing and performances by the Singing Resistance Washtenaw County starting at 6:30. The live streamed events will start ~7:00 pm. Water and some snacks will be available\, but feel free to bring your own snack and non-alcoholic beverage to enjoy during the concert. We ask that you RSVP to let us know you’re coming and so we can make sure we have room for everyone.
