Executive Board Election
December 16, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The newly-elected WCDP Executive Committee will meet on Sunday, December 16th at 6 p.m. at the Washtenaw County Learning Resource Center (4135 Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor) to elect the 2018-2020 WCDP Executive Board. You can see who is on the current Executive Board and which positions are up for election HERE.
Per the rules of the Michigan Democratic Party, we will use a proportional voting method for positions with more than one person (i.e., most of the Vice Chair positions.)
You can find details about this in the MDP rules HERE (see Section 6.)
Because the geographic method does not apply here, we will use the slate method. I am assembling a slate for all of the positions and anyone else who is a member of the WCDP may do the same.
At the meeting, I will be asking the Executive Committee to reduce the number of Vice Chairs for Resolutions, Bylaws, and Policy to one person (it’s not a two-person job) and to increase the number of Vice Chairs for Precinct Organizing to three people (it’s becoming too much of a job for just two people.) The previous Executive Committee expanded the number of Outreach Vice Chairs to three already and we’d like to maintain that given the importance of this standing committee.
