Washtenaw County Courts have a number of openings, and our choices for judge will make a difference in the way justice is served in our county. We are lucky to have many great candidates. WCDP is hosting a panel for those running for both Circuit Judge and 14B District Court Judge, so that you can get to know them and make an informed choice. This will be an On-line forum.

Panels include candidates for Washtenaw County Circuit Court Judge and 14B District Court Judge in Ypsilanti Township. The Honorable Carol Kuhnke, Chief Judge of the Washtenaw County Trial Court, will also speak.

This WCDP meeting will take place using the online conferencing software Zoom. The meeting will start with our Candidates’ Corner, a chance to meet candidates running for a range of offices. After an update on the measures Michigan has taken to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will hear a presentation from Judge Kuhnke on the court system in Washtenaw County. There will be two panels, first with the Washtenaw County Circuit Court candidates, and then a panel with the 14B District Court candidates. Candidates for other offices should write to Mary Hall-Thiam, WCDP Vice-Chair, if they are interested in a time slot in the Candidates Corner part of the monthly meeting. She can be reached at mhallthiamaka@gmail.com
