CANCELLED: NO Ward 3/4 ART & Action

March 19 @ 7:00 pm

Ward 3/4 I&A sadly informs us that this month’s event is cancelled. We hope to have another opportunity to  host this  special guest, artist/activist Susan Simensky Bietila, creator of the wonderful fish some of us were able to carry in our Pipe Up Paddle Out protest at Mackinaw City last summer. Activism takes many forms, and this evening should be one of the most enjoyable we have done.

This year’s FestiFools is centered around the theme FossilFools, and Susan will show us how to create “wildly creative fish or animal hats” to wear to FestiFools, FoolMoon and for the upcoming anniversary of Earth Day. Ward 3/4 I&A has partnered with the Ann Arbor Art Center to bring her here, and they are offering two days of free workshops to put it into practice!
Due to her schedule we have reserved the Church of the Good Shepherd (2145 Independence Blvd) for Thursday the 19th, 7pm.
For the workshop at the Ann Arbor Art Center, titled Making the Green New Deal visible: https://www.facebook.com/events/229666288208702/
Here’s an article about her unique approach, and you can see a photo of the wonderful fish she brought to last summer’s Pipe Out Paddle Up:
