Ypsi Warming Center

Ypsi Gathering Space

The Ypsi Gathering Space will begin a third season of providing a warming center in Ypsilanti to provide folks experiencing housing insecurity a warm meal and compassionate community. YGS will start their winter hours on Saturday, Dec 7 from 9am to 4 pm at the Riverside Arts Center (76 N. Huron). Folks can come by for free food and community every Saturday thereafter. If you have members of your groups that could use such a community, they will be wholly welcomed. Members that would like to volunteer or donate (snacks, coffee, winter clothes) are appreciated. Learn how to administer Narcan (emergency medication that counteracts the life threatening effects of an opioid overdose) as well how to de-escalate interpersonal conflict.  Hosted by the Ypsi Gathering Space on Feb. 15 at noon.
