Another 20 volunteers gathered on July 26th to learn the ins and outs of Precinct Delegate work. Precinct Delegates are elected by their neighbors to be representatives of their precincts – they build relationships, help voters stay informed, share their opinions with the relevant government officials, and help get out the vote.

Training included an overview of precinct organizing, the basics of canvassing, and tips for growing your skills. There were lots of laughs and great conversations around important issues.

The Precinct Delegates are a wonderful group of Democratic volunteers who make a real difference. And we need you! There are more Precinct Delegate positions open, and you can still run as a write-in candidate – ask us how!

Learn more about the Precinct Delegate position, including our next training on August 12, by visiting us at the WCDP Precinct Organizing Committee Facebook page or by emailing Catherine Daligga and Jane Forman, Co-Chairs of the Precinct Organizing Committee, at wcdp.poc@gmail.com. We look forward to meeting you soon!
