Seeking Visibility Co-Chair to expand our Washtenaw County presence!
WCDP’s Visibility Committee is in search of a co-chair to help oversee WCDP’s presence at community events across the whole of Washtenaw County. This vacancy will be filled by majority vote at the June 11 County Committee meeting (location TBA). All WCDP members are eligible for the role. Major tasks include:
- Securing participation and coordinating resources for community events
- Recruiting, scheduling and overseeing event volunteers
- Participating in monthly meetings on the WCDP Executive Board
- Coordinating Visibility work with other WCDP committees, elected representatives, and community organizations.
Please note that this is a time-intensive role from March to November that requires regular material handling, set-up and tear-down of booths, representing WCDP to the public in a variety of forums, and securing transportation to and from venues.
If you are interested in this role, please complete this form by June 4. Materials submitted will be circulated to the County Committee before its June 11 meeting. Bios are not required and nominations may also be offered from the floor during the meeting.
You do not have to attend the meeting to be considered, but you’re invited to do so to introduce yourself in person to the County Committee members. Interested candidates should make sure their MDP membership is current for at least 30 days prior to the County Committee meeting on June 11.
