It’s time to get out the vote!

In the past, Get Out the Vote (GOTV) has started the last few days before Election Day. But with Michigan’s new absentee voting rights, GOTV starts 40 days earlier! Voters can start casting their ballots as early as September 24. The Washtenaw County Democratic Party (WCDP) is set to begin its largest distribution ever of our popular, useful, and successful Voter Guide. More than 70,000 copies must be hand distributed to Democratic voters in our county, and we need your help!

The printed Voter Guide contains valuable candidate information, a sample ballot with candidates endorsed by the WCDP (including nonpartisan candidates such as judges), and information about voting safely as an Absentee Voter. Distributing the Voter Guide is the largest and most important get-out-the-vote effort that we do.

This year we will be conducting a COVID-19 safe, no-knock Voter Guide drop for targeted voters. The number of doors we need to hit is nearly three times the number we’ve distributed in past elections. Starting on September 30, we will need a battalion of volunteers to walk “turfs” – each turf takes about 1-2 hours, depending on the size.

If you are looking to do ONE THING this election season to help get out the vote, make this the one! Sign up and pass this link on to anyone you know who might be willing to volunteer as well:
