About three years ago, the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners approved an investment of County General Fund and American Rescue Plan dollars to connect all of Washtenaw County to high-speed broadband infrastructure. Although construction and activations are ongoing, internet service providers have been expanding service to underserved areas for the last few years.
“All we’ve got to do is get these last few done, and we will have that distinction [of 100% completion],” said Chris Sharrer, the county’s broadband manager.
We’re thankful for the Biden Administration’s American Rescue Plan, which will bring high-speed internet access to all homes and businesses in our County!
