Washtenaw Alliance 2026+ Monthly Community Gathering

Sunday, April 12, 2026, 4pm-6pm

After No Kings 3, What’s Next?

The Washtenaw Alliance invites you to a forum on strengthening our community organizing.

For April’s Sunday get-together, we are building on the energy from No Kings 3 to connect people organizing locally around immigration, community defense, and the war(s). We are seeing the wholesale destruction of the protections we thought our constitution promised us.

We’re asking:

  • What are people doing here and now?
  • How can we join and build on the work that has already begun?
  • What actions are needed for sustained and effective resistance, both locally and statewide?

Come meet local organizers resisting ICE and the multiple threats against our democracy and our rights.

Washtenaw Democrats, A2D2 Indivisible, CWA, and Third Act, are hosting a forum on organizing on Sunday April 12th, 4pm-6 pm

Participation by registration only. Venue communicated to follow.

For April’s Sunday get-together, we are building on the energy from No Kings to connect people organizing locally around immigration, community defense, and the war(s). We are seeing the wholesale destruction of the protections we thought our constitution promised us. We’re asking:

  • What do we need to do now?

  • What is organizing going to look like?

  • How do we support and grow the sustained resistance we will need?

Eight million-plus of us showed up on Saturday, all over the country. We know the support is there. But it has never been enough to just show up for a march or a rally.

People are organizing all over Washtenaw (and the country) to defend democracy and our basic rights. We are creating new networks and building on long-term
efforts as well as inviting people newly energized to join us.

This will be a forum, not a presentation. Rather than a potluck, we’ll just do snacks this time and keep our energy for the discussion.

Join us!
