Washtenaw Indivisible & St. Clare’s Inez Wisdom Foundation: Salons for Democracy
Much like 18th century salons, throughout this series we will have history presentations, discussions about politics, craft workshops, music and other performances, all designed to expand our awareness of what the Semiquincentennial means, and how our history, both good and bad, impacts us as US citizens. The theme of our kick-off event in honor of the nation’s 250th birth year is “The Flag is STILL There!” The event will include skits, presentations on the history of the US flag, discussions about flag etiquette, musical performances, and – of course – FOOD!!! If you are able, bring a dish to pass for the potluck!
