About this event
On May 1st, commit to no work, no school, and no shopping. Instead of heading to work or class as usual, join us in downtown Ann Arbor to celebrate the ways regular people can work together and make a difference.
When: 12 noon, Friday, May 1.
Where: Federal Building, 200 E Liberty St, Ann Arbor.
What: Learn about the way community members are organizing for real change, flex your economic power, and share mutual aid.
This event is sponsored by a coalition of pro-worker, pro-democracy groups including Ann Arbor Indivisible, the Huron Valley Area Labor Federation, Survivors Speak, and Workers Against Oppression.
The Federal Building is on multiple bus routes, and public parking is available in the Library Lane Parking Garage.
Please note: A core principle behind all May Day Strong events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
