Honk for Democracy! Rally – Ypsilanti

This week’s location: Michigan Ave & Prospect Rd, Ypsilanti. (Parking in the Dollar Tree lot on the NW corner, accessible from both Michigan and Prospect.)
Organizer: Honk for Democracy. Our small group is holding street corner protests during rush hour one day each week. Our focus is giving the passersby a chance to see protest in action and a quick opportunity to join in by honking as they drive by. For many of these people, we are offering their first live contact with political resistance and their first time to actually register their protest, in however small a way. We hope to provide an elemental step in building engagement, connection, and community.
