About this event

A2D2 invites you to spend an afternoon getting to know Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Megan Cavanagh and Justice Noah Hood, who are up for re-election.

While the federal judiciary is threatened at the federal level, state supreme courts that share our values are more important than ever. Issues that impact our daily lives – from access to our bodies to labor laws and environmental regulation – come before State Supreme Courts. We need ensure every Michigander knows the importance of this race.

Megan Cavanagh has spent her career fighting to make Michigan’s justice system work for everyone. As Chief Justice, she has championed equal access to the courts, protected vulnerable children and families, and brought pragmatic, experienced leadership to Michigan’s highest bench.

Justice Noah Hood is the rare judicial candidate who has done the work at every level — from work as a federal prosecutor to the 3rd Judicial Circuit to the Michigan Court of Appeals, and now as a Justice on Michigan’s Supreme Court. A product of Detroit public schools and a Harvard Law graduate, Noah brings a depth of experience and a commitment to justice that is unmatched on the bench.

With our help, these fantastic Justices will remain on Michigan’s Supreme Court.
