Is the Ann Arbor for Public Power Ballot proposal right for Ann Arbor?

The proposed charter amendment would create a municipal electrical utility and an elected Ann Arbor Municipal Electric Utility Board with the power to construct, acquire, expand, operate, study, maintain, control, and manage the new utility.
The Board would have the power to make all contracts pertaining to utility business and acquire property and interests in property in the name of the city for utility purposes.
